Until this point I had stayed away from exploring the racial issue with transracial adoption. Transracial adoption is when the family is a totally different race to that of the child. I started to think about if race mattered or not.

I was very interested in making this piece interactive, I made copies of blank paint by numbers for people to colour in. I made no reference to what the colours should be only that my parents were number "1" and I was colour "2" and layed out a large range of flesh colours. A lot of my work has elements of games or childrens activities.
