Orchid is a piece I did 3 years after Rose Petel. This was based around my birthmother's name Thi-Lan meaning pretty orchid. Engraved on the petals is the refugee number she was given when she fled to Hong Kong. My hope is to one day do a piece that uses blue bells which is contected to my adopted mum's name.

This was a piece made for the exhibition Eight.
